About
Lise Spence-Parsons, a Brit ex-pat now residing in the Minneapolis suburbs, is a former accountant in the advertising world. Coming from an artistically based family, she has expanded her artistic journey into writing during the last four years.
She enjoys writing short stories that enable the reader to think about issues and instances that they might not have explored previously. She has previously published her first collection of short stories, The Shorts, available in both paperback and e-book formats. This is now joined by this collection, Skirting the Issues. It will be followed by her first novel The Remains of Men, a novel set in London and northern France. It’s inspired by her love of social history.
Lise also spends time designing jewelry, which she sells through her company Lottie’s Trinkets. Lise also enjoys botanical watercolor painting.
As a give-back to the local community, Lise serves as President for The Maple Grove Arts Center. She also serves on the city’s tourism board and is a member of a city led working group.
